Autometer & S&W to sponsor special race for .90 Associations

One of the newer things coming to MASSA / MASCA / MASGA in 2014 is the "Autometer Top 8 Shootout presented by S&W Race Cars." This event will be held at Cecil County Dragway on August 9th., 2014 Drivers will start earning points towards this special shootout at Race #1 on May 3rd and will conclude at Race # 6 on June 29th. Drivers will earn points for how they qualify at these events from the #1 Qualifier earning 8 points to the #8 Qualifier earning 1 point. The Top 7 drivers who have accumulated the most points will earn a spot into the shootout. The #8 spot will be filled as a "Wild Card". All drivers who didn't make the Top 7 will be entered into a special drawling to determine who is the #8 qualifier. Any driver who earned a point but, didn't make the Top 7 will get 1 entry per point into the drawling. Thanks to Marc Erickson of Autometer & Scott Weney of S&W who have stepped up to sponsor this event for the racers!

Just to make this clear, this event is a free race to all members. The sponsors who have come on board for this event and put the cash up to sponsor this event will go back to the racers. Once I get the final sponsors and totals I will post the amounts. Just an added bonus to be apart of a great series.
