Default Thinking about S/SS Combo Race at Thunder Road Raceway

This track is in Gilliam, La. Greg Stanfield , Stephen Bell and myself are looking for input about hosting a S/SS race at Thunder Road Raceway. We would like your thoughts on what dates would be good. please talk with your buddies and see what they think.
Nelson and Marla Hoyos has taken over the operations of the track. Nelson has worked hard on getting this track to hook. The Stanfield's can attest to how Great the track is hooking. If anyone has any questions please feel free to email Nelson@RaceTRRP.com or www.RaceTRRP.com phone 318.299.7223
You can also email me bobbybrannon@cs.com or bobbybrannon@bbhac.com Greg Stephen and myself had aGreat meeting yesterday with Nelson and his visions for the track. This track is going to be a great venture. By the way we have I-49 exit at the racetrack

Not sure if it's a summer race or fall but it's will be great. A lot of people are in. Racers tell us what you want. Just let's us know
Thanks

I agree, It is Time to bring back some Class Racing to this area. Back in the '70s it would draw a crowd at Hallsville, I-20 and Whitehouse. With the later mod cars and better selection of cars I see the spectators enjoying the "Car Show" that goes along with the race of this type. If promoted correctly I think it would work.
It should be timed correctly, no outside interference with other "Things" in the area that draws spectators away. Bobby, I've talked to Frank Hale about something like this and he has shown an interest to help out with a purse.
This track has been abused by promoters saying they are going to have a "Show" and the spectators come and see "No Show" As racers we need to see this doesn't happen. We need to support the track and provide a show so he can get spectators back in the stands. Just having good car count there doesn't always make the tracks trip to the bank a good trip on Monday. The key to this tracks success is filling the stands with spectators.
