Default The Pro Stock Battle on Sunday

The Elite team had that car on kill all day. Erica drove smart-she knew she had to be on her game against Jonathan Gray. Jason kept his chances alive with a whole shot win. Erica was genuinely thrilled with being champ. Jason handled his loss with grace and class, offering congrats to Erica n the win and then doing a great interview on ESPN. But most of all, I liked the fact that neither racer made no bones about how nervous they each were.

You're absolutely right, Jason showed he is a class act. Course coming from our ranks we already knew that...you can usually catch him at the fence when Stock runs. But I was happy for Erica, paying her dues along the way and making it pay off at the end. With all the rumors (Drew Skillman in PS next year? Jeggie having a part time Elite deal, Mark Ingersoll leaving the Johnsons, Westcott fielding a Ford, Morgan out, etc etc) PS should be an interesting deal next year but nothing can take away from the great battle at Pomona.

I think Jason is a class act. Also, Force was a gentleman in defeat. Congrats Elite. You may have single handedly helped save Pro Stock. What a nerve racking race for both.

Did anyone happen to notice Erica's ETs
6.494-----round one
6.494-----round two
6.494-----round three
6.480-----final

She'd go deep in elims at any bracket race, huh?

Hats off to the Elite team. Was routing for Jason, but Elite EARNED this one!

Nice to EE win, you know I wasn't too sure when she went to Elite in the off-season and left Cagnazzi, thought they would struggle for some races but, they didn't falter much. Was nice to see a single car team win the championship. Been a long time since that has happen in any of the Pro's as they are flooded with 2,3,4 cars per team.

Hope they are even able to field an 8 car program next year, heard a rumor that they currently only have 9 cars committed to running a full 24-race season...just sad!

With Rick and Rickie Jones making the calls on the car, no.

Speaking of .000 lights, I'd love to see a log of the lag between her shift light and gear change. Erica seems to have a hidden driver beast inside her. She's calm in interviews and a cat at the light. You can't buy that from Elite or anyone else.
