Where would a guy purchase one of the 40,000 pound hitches commonly found on the back of truck conversion motorhomes?
Thanks |

Mark,
Call Torklift at their main office in Sumner which is close to you. They already make a 30K hitch and may be able to help you. http://www.torklift.com/index.php/pr...tch-magnum-30k Torklift International 1901 Fryar Ave Sumner, WA 253-261-5586 |

Thanks Joe.
Since they are close, it might be wise to just drive the mh to them and see what they think. They could probably fix or reinforce what I already have. I have a piece of 1/8" steel plate running vertically with the 2" receiver tube through it. There's a 1/2" plate behind the tube horizontally and a box tube approx 1"x2.5" running at an angle to the old end plate of the semi. Then another vertical 1/8" plate vertical from that. I think it needs some more metal and some triangulation? Hard to describe, but pulling a 3 car stacker it doesn't seem like enough. |

Mark,, you might also want to try Ballews' on M St. between So.Tacoma Way and Center St. I had them do some reinforcing on my MH this past summer and was pleased with the results. I'm not pulling a 3 car stacker like you,, but I'm thinking they can handle it.
Good luck whichever way you go. Danny Durham |
