My Camaro has factory seats and the seat belts do not go through the seat. How bad is Div 2 gonna hassle me about it? I was told they want the shoulder and sub belts through the seat. And that aint happening in the next 3 weeks, LOL

About 4 years ago tech told us that the upper belts must be change
to go thru the seats on all our stockers. The width of the mopar bucket on top did not allow the belts to sit high enough on our shoulders to properly secure us in their judgement We had our local upholstery shop put a slot in the seat big enough for the belts and gusset around it. None of sub. belts have been an issue. They gave us a race to get it fixed........They did not toss us at the race so it was not a big issue.

I never had a problem with the low back seats in a gen 1 Camaro at Div 2 tech. If you have hi back seats that might be different, I have racing seats in my car now so that hasn't been a tech issue for me for a few years. Give the division tech guy a call for clarification.

i can tell you that in division 1 they do enforce the belt location, i have a 67 camaro and was told in no uncertain terms the submarine strap must come up through the seat, but being as my original seats are in pristine condition i was not going to cut them up or modify them, the answer to the problem was a set of kirkey seats, best thing i ever changed
