Are wheels like the Monocoque or Bogart's worth any ET or RT in a high 11 second stocker?

Buyer beware on lightweight wheels especially fronts. I've seen several Bogart fronts crack and leak air.
I believe there's a thread on here somewhere about a lightweight wheel coming apart in the pits. |

We weighed a bunch of different race wheels and were surprised that there was virtually no difference in weight. Best bang for the buck is Champion Wheel, light weight, good quality, quick turnaround on orders, reasonably priced.

I've had Holeshot Wheels on my cars for many, many years. Great quality, customer service, light and probably the widest variety of styles and offset options available. They have a dealer network where you'd probably get the best deal from.

Beware of Monos and Bogarts...........I had one split half way plus in two
thru the lights at Autolite several years ago. Very scary ride and did a lot of damage to front end. The wheel was 10 years old in fairness to company! At very least I would remove and inspect from back carefully each few months for cracks and discard after 4 or 5 years particularly if car is 3000+ and does a lot of wheel stands.

I`ve got a question for everyone. Has anyone noticed a difference in ET with any wheel? I`ve never picked up anything with any wheel since after you take the weight off the with the lighter wheel you have to put it back on with ballast. I`ve even gone from steel rims to Centerlines and picked up very minimal if nothing. Anyone?

I doubt anyone will ever see a difference in performance from aftermarket front wheel weights. A pound or 2 or 3 is a couple thousandths. And then the wind changes or you lose .005 in 60 and ..............................................you know the drill.
Buy what you like, buy from who you think will pay you after a final. |

We were originally going to go with champion but we waited a little to long and needed some wheels ASAP... Quick look through the jegs book and we were surprised to see a new style centerline wheel.. They Look AMAZING and are great quality ..,. and reasonably priced. got them in two day.. they are also pretty light.
