Hey all..I went and done it and stepped up to a bigger motor. It has dual line external oil pickup. I'm new to this. I'm looking at the motor and where it sits, it looks like where the oil pump cover where the fitting comes out, is gonna hit the motor mount spot on the k frame. Im hoping to do this without buying a differnt oil pump cover if at all possible. This is on a 69 b-body. any help is greatly appreciated and if its in the wrong section i apologize.
Thanks! |

Seems like I ALWAYS had to grind the heck out of the motor mount
to make it work 30 years ago with the Milodon System. I run a single line now (Never go over 7500 with bracket stuff) if I use stock mounts rather than Plate. Do you have Hemi or Wedge as mounts are completely different? Any engine powerful enough to need a dual line system.................Would generally be fast enough for a engine plate.

I had a plate in my last wedge. No problem with oil lines at all.

Do you need Dual line....Single Line works fine to about 7500 RPM and
that is a LOT for a bracket 493 and way better than stock oiling system in the block!! Plate is easy to install unless you have Air Conditioning and Power Steering and twin turbos

Milodon has two covers that the oil line goes in straight instead from the back. One is for remote filters and one has the oil filter base built in.

I have had several 65-68 cars with that system. It doesn't look like it will work but it does. When you get thru torching the stock motor bracket to fit the lines there's not much left of it. But that's how people did it in the 70's and 80's. They also used a torque strap to catch the motor in case the motor mount failed.
