Default Keystone/Pittsburgh Pro-AM

Just a little curious as to why hardly any of the local Pittsburgh racers came out to the pro-am this weekend? This year, there were only pro-am cars. No bonus races, no street cars, no jet cars, just the pro-am cars even for the test and tune Friday night.
It makes little sense to me that the S/SS guys close to the area just don't or won't come.

I realize that some may be broken, on vacation, taking a break, etc., but they missed a nice weekend this year.

I wished that IHRA had not dropped Drag Review . They almost have gone undercover . They need to get the message out that these events are running . I get multiple emails from NHRA about what is going on, plus National Dragster .

Comella has been running his car with us in div 2 at the spring races down here. If I remember right he won the first race of the season in Immokalee FL. He is a very tough racer in that hemi car.

you're exactly right! I still have friends that aren't on the internet and they're (as I am) very disappointed that IHRA no longer finds it worthwhile to print their magazine. VERY stupid move IMHO !!! I loved to see the pics the records and the editorials, not to mention the results in print. I guess no more scrapbooking is at hand, plus it was cool to show my few sponsors our pictures in a national magazine....damn shame!

Ive been to Pittsburgh Many times. Love that place. I cant justify the cost of a 1000+ mile trip to run for $1,000 bucks plus another $500 in contingency. I know it only matters if you win but Cost are Cost.

Total 5 Pure Stockers showed up Saturday and 6 on Sunday.
Think that was the count but still a great showing!
Had a lot of people drop by and say hello!
Keystone very friendly and relaxed.

Sure glad the heat and humidity went away.
Nice breeze all weekend.

Sure could use a picture of your cars.
Will post them in the Pure Stock Photo Gallery.
