Been tossing the idea around , would a 1973 plymouth fury wagon be a good start ? its a 360 500 cfm holley ( needs redone any way ) set of 308 heads and a man valve body (not sure about the converter) and 3.91 gear just to start with thanks for any input

I looked @ the guide looks like it's a natural R/SA add weight to T/SA......? the 318 how ever is a U/SA with A LOT of weight removed! But take a look @ T/SA it's a 14.70 index...you'll need more gear..also a 904 trans with a lower gear set & a good converter. Hey go for it & see what happens....& good luck!!

i would lose the 3.91 gears unless your going to drive it on the freeway. A 5.38 gear may get it moving. I dont think at 5170 pounds is a good deal if it can make U with a 360.

Great idea!! You will spend more on the tow vehicle and trailer just to get that big and heavy car around. I know, my Cyclone weighs a bunch also.
That is what makes this great, you can bounce some ideas out there and get 1000 different thoughts back. |
