Anyone know someone I can send the bearing retainer to for the installation of a Racepak clutch sensor? Thanks.

Have you checked out this thread?
Stockers make it difficult to have the sensor in the bearing retainer. http://classracer.com/classforum/sho...=clutch+sensor |

When I added a data recorder with my Jerico I did not see anyway to have it read off of the input. Not enough room. I had a split collar made which installed on the cluster with a magnet in it. Drilled a hole in the case and made a adjustable sleeve to mount the sensor. The cluster is not turning at the same rpm as the input so that difference has to be calibrated in to get a accurate input reading.

Thanks for the help everyone, I have been informed by a member here that Rob at Advanced has a kit for a collar and a drill guide, ordered it yesterday. I'll update this when it gets installed for future info.

Todd,
Does that put the sensor in the bellhousing on the candlestick? That's where mine is on my GF5-R. When removing/reinstalling the trans I have to be careful as I have broken the sensor before. Also use adel clamps or cush clamps to hold the cable to the candlestick and away from the TOB. Sean

Sorry to hijack, but why would you need a clutch sensor? What is its purpose?

The biggest reason is to show what the clutch is doing and when. Clutches need to slip to be effective, but when, how much and how long they slip is a big deal. You can know exactly what happened and adjust tuning and driving to improve very quickly with a racepak or similar data acquisition system and a good clutch sensor.

To those who have installed the magnet in the input shaft, how deep did you spotface the input shaft to install the magnet? Full depth of the magnet, or less?
