S/SS Combo Races

S/SS Combo races sponsored by Midwest Class Racers on the 15th/16th of Sept at Thunder Valley, Marion, SD. Also, S/SS Combo races at Oahe Speedway, Pierre, SD on the 22nd/23rd of Sept.

Midwest Class Racers is the main sponsor of the S/SS Combo race on the 22nd of Sept at Oahe Speedway, along with several local sponsors in the Pierre, SD area. Pay outs for the Sat Combo race will be very similar to last year, 1st round winners get money! NHRA D5 National Open S/SS Combo race on the 23rd at Oahe Speedway with normal payouts.

Oahe Speedway's Stock/Super Stock Combo, Saturday, Sept 22, is dedicated to the memory of Aaron Koppien, and will be entitled the "Aaron Koppien Memorial Stock/Super Stock Combo". We look forward to hosting a great weekend of racing. Test and Tune will take place on Friday afternoon, from 4pm to 8pm. Qualifying in all Oahe Speedway classes as well as the NHRA classes will begin at 10am on Saturday. Eliminations scheduled at 2pm.

We hope to see you that weekend.

Update: Old farts strike!! Thunder Valley S/SS combo, 9/15-9/16. Saturday night winner Brad Van Lant (pre old fart), E/SA, winner, Curt Rees (Old fart), GT/MA, runner up. 36 cars went down the track.

Sunday winner, Gene Bichelmier (Older yet old fart) GT/I, winner, Dale Rethke (not so old fart), F/SA, runner up. Dale was in the semi's on Sat night. 33 cars went down the track.

Congratulations to the winners and to all the participants. 36 cars is a record for the S/SS combo. A special thank you to Midwest Class Racers and the USA. S/SS is alive and well in the upper midwest!

Don't for get, S/SS combos again this week end at Oahe Speedway in Pierre, SD. Gates are open Friday afternoon, test & tune, 4 to 8pm Friday. Time trials start at 10 am on Sat, eliminations at 2 pm.

The money is looking good and so is the weather. See ya' this week end at Oahe Speedway, Pierre, SD

Latest weather looks great for the weekend. Friday evening-Test and Tune-4pm-8pm-temps in the 70's and no precip..Saturday high 88, and no precip..Sunday high 80, with
a slight chance of precip..20% later in the day.

Parking opens at 8am Friday..
