So let's say 5 alternates get in, 129-133.
Guys that qualified let's say numbers 10,20,60,95 & 120 broke or torn down didn't pass tech. Number 10 guy would run 74 for 1st Rd. Does that mean qualifier 129 runs 74 ?? And so on for the others ??? Is their a cut-off time for guys that broke and can't get their car fixed for Saturday's First Rd. ??? Or do all the alternates have to wait until they call cars to the lanes on Saturday morning ???? Thank you

Otherwise, he'll wait till last minute and do his best to take the alternates in order. If a complete Q pair is missing, then he'll take let's say, # 134 and pair him or her with # 135, so you could have alternates racing each other, in rare circumstances.

I looked on DRC for 1st Rd. & they did exactly that. The guy that Q #17 didn't make it so he should've run Q #81 and the first alternate was # 129 he took #17 place. Looked like 4 alternates got in.
