If you fail tech after your class win Do you still get to race in the elemnator ?

I heard this is the first year that when you get tossed from being torn down, the horsepower from which your cars avg. added to the combo'"s" gets taken off, and an nhra official kicks your puppy. Plus, you get a dirty look from Jimmy Defrank. That's a fate worse than death. ;-)
