Has anyone had any experience with the
Auto Meter Ultimate play back tach model # 6896.I am looking for a simple, but effective, way to monitor my engine RPM vs drive shaft RPM. Terry K |

What I do is make a run , then make a change , and compare the two runs by overlaying the traces . Typically if you can make areas of the driveshaft rpm get faster at a particular time stamp (acceleration) , then you have found an improvement .

Good Unit for the Money. Also allows for a PSI sensor.

Ultimate II , I believe it uses similar software , but the 6896 allows data log of O2 sensors , pressures , etc. Comparing driveshaft rpm should be a valid way of determining improvements .
