63 Plymouth with aluminum front end. Is there a paint stripper out there to use on this lightweight aluminum. Strippers usually generate a lot of heat, which I want to avoid. Hope someone has some insight into this.

Paint strippers don't generate heat. Methylene chloride works through the molecules of the paint and breaks the bond. That's why the paint lifts. Some paint strippers have acid or alkaline to help break the paint bond. Usually this type is used for catalyzed paints. The acid or alkaline will attack the aluminum. Look for a paint stripper that washes off with solvent and not water. Scuffing the paint with 80 grit helps the stripper work faster. Cover the stripper with cheap plastic to keep the stripper from drying out. If doing it inside, don't use a kerosene heater. It produces phosgene gas, mustard gas...WW1.
