My wife and are both veterans and yesterday our two grandchildren (ages 10 and 8) prepared a long ceremony complete with streamers, videos and songs to honor our service. Can’t imagine a better tribute. Every year we alternate taking one on our RV trip over the summer. This coming summer we’ll have the 10 year old grandson with us and we’ll be sure he sees all the memorials in DC, Arlington, and the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. I believe this will be one of our greatest gifts to him.
Freedom is not free.

We had breakfast with dad today. He served in the Navy during WW2. The diner gave 50% discounts to all veterans. Thanks to all who served.

I was drafted in 1966. I took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic. My oath does not have an expiration date.
Thank to all that serve and have served.

A BIG Thank You to all who serve or have served
I, personally didn't serve due to a health condition, but my Dad was on Attu during WWII. Since I wasn't selected to serve, I was honored to work for the U.S.P.S. during the late 60's and early 70's and helped get the mail to all who did serve during Vietnam. God bless all of you.
