Default John Force answers a question

While watching the races on TV just a few moments ago, a question was sent in from a fan. John Force responded to this enquiry. These are not word for word, but accurate in it's content.

Q. What is there to do at the races when the cars are not on the strip?

A. See the manufacturers midway, sample the food, try your hand at the simulators, see engines being maintained in pit areas.

Jees, I wonder if he knows about all the cool sportsman cars that are in the pits next to all that asphalt?

U/SA hey, I'm over here!

Ron,
I hope you posted this without knowing about the wreck that nearly killed him.

Just saw John Force in a serious accident, I sincerely hope he is OK.
Tim H, your post is not amusing nor is it needed.

After watching the video of the crash it "appears" Force had an engine explosion and veered hard right into Bernstein who was hugging/crossing the center line--- Totally unavoidable by Bernstein just happened to be in the wrong place at the right time---But you are right about suggesting a walk around to see what else is out there---But a lot of these guys have no idea what is out there they never came up thru the ranks as sportsman racers so they would not know enough to reccommend something like that---Comp 387

The part of the car that Kenny hit didn't have John in it. And where the cage is cut off it has to be driveline that did the damage. I watched it over and over and it looks like the left rear tire was chunking, ( didn't pop ). Maybe causing the body to come apart, then a flash in the ****pit. At that time the chutes came out and the back half of the frame was pull threw the back of the car. The rest of the car went across the lane and Kenny hit it. John the rearend, tires, chutes and part of the cage flipped and eneded up in his own lane.

I hope all goes well and he's back before we know it.

Ron's post has merit. Force knows really nothing about sportsman racing, and that's not a knock at him,it's just the way it is.His 2 younger girls had to explain to him how .90 racing works,he didn't understand it when they first started.

Thumbs up Re: John Force answers a question

Everybody calm down. After knowing Ron for more than 20 years I feel I can say I'm sure he ment nothing vicious with regard to John Force. His point is well taken however. John Force's comments were made before his terrible crash and I have to admit I found myself thinking the same thing Ron questioned. That said, I was lucky enough to talk to John for about 10 minutes at the Gators many years ago and he told me he likes to watch us (S/SS) race but gets very little chance to do so. I find it hard to believe anyone on this forum would not wish John and his whole family the best and a quick recovery. We all know what a trying season it has been for his team.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Force family and team at this very difficult time.

I am going to say this about the postings that took place recently. First, for all of you individuals out there that read the original post, and then presumed I was making an attempt to make fun of this situation, you are an absolute idiot and should be ashamed of yourself. Re read the original post and you will realize that I was centering on the ommision of our categories as what to do when the cars are not on the strip. Nothing derogatory was stated against John Force. As I sat down to resume watching the race after posting the original thread, then I saw the accident. Just so you know, I like John Force more than the other FC drivers, and I was sincerely concerned about him. After a commercial came on I revisited this site to say my concern was there for his safety. The first thing I read is a statement from Tim H and his stupid comment. As you can see by my following post I found it neither amusing or needed.
Alan Roehrich, FED387, Chris DeGideo, and Jim Wahl, you are correct.
As for you Mr. North, your timing is off. My second post occured at 9:14 after seeing the accident and then waiting to see if he was OK on TV, yours followed at 11:03
My sincere concern and prayers go out to the Force family.
