Hello all,
First, I would just like to thank all the people who put together the Class Racer Nationals. I had the opportunity to race in Super Stock up there and it was one of the most enjoyable weekends of racing I have ever had, spending time with my Dad (Jim Pickett), John Agneta, Phil Monteith, and the Biondo’s was an experience I will never forget. As much as I would like race at Divisional or National Events, on a consistent basis, being a father of three young boys I often do not have the ability to go racing for 3-4 days. I do, however race another car in Cecil County’s “United Nostalgia Super Stock”. This race has provided a great platform to racers who have cars which are 1955-1975, and resemble Stockers and Super Stockers of the era. Additionally, the group is always open and eager to having legal NHRA cars from 55’-75’, race with us as well, and have in the past. The racing is fun, laid back and most importantly a One Day event, usually finished by 4pm. Payouts are dependent on car counts, and its $60 dollars to race for the day. There are two events coming up, one on October 10th, and the other on October 24th, both at Cecil County. I know because of Covid this past year divisional schedules and national events have been scarce at times, and I am posting this as another option for racers who would like to get out. I have had the opportunity to race in East Coast Stock/Super Stock, and it is great platform to race as well! I know there’s a lot of Stock and Super Stock racers out there who are ‘Purists’ and only want to race with legal cars. I respect you, and your cars, and understand your viewpoint. I do not want to step on anyone’s feet, by making this post, this is simply to another opportunity to go racing. Good Luck and be safe at Virginia, hope to see you at Cecil County! |

Open to any car Stocker, Super Stocker, or Nostalgia Stock/Super Stocker from 1955-1975
Pay at the gate at Cecil, just tell them you are racing United Nostalgia Super Stock. Usually a drivers meeting at either Lance Keen's or Dan Woods trailer before we get running. Weather is looking good for Saturday, Partly Sunny and 70. Last edited by Sean1099; 10-05-2020 at 01:13 PM. |
