Having a powerglide rebuilt for a super stock 327 application. It was previously set up with only 3 friction clutches on the reverse pack. Clearance is .120 thou. Trans. has alum. drum, clutch hub, roller bearings throughout. Last time it was run the brake would not hold the car from moving forward when stalled.
How many frictions are needed to hold with a trans. brake in this application without spinning unnecessary weight? Thinking I may need 5 to make sure it holds. |
