Default Will US National entries fill up?

There was some talk that this may be the year that you wouldn't have to qualify at Indy this year. People were talking about not going this year, and even a couple on here posted they were done after the recent schedule change.

Do you think they will get more than 128 cars in both categories, and if so, do you think they will fill the quota of a 150, or even more with those who the quota doesn't count for?

I've been watching for the last 2 weeks, and in the last 3 or 4 days its gone from in the 60s and 70s to 104 in stock and 110 in Super stock at the time of this post.

I believe we will get to 150 in each, but may dip below as some people cancel like every event.

History tells us that in stock you need to run around 9 tenths under to qualify at INDY. I believe this is the year that those cars that can’t run that far under will enter. …..

I did say earlier that I would be surprised if quotas were met. Then again it isn't normal 1, 2 and 3 grade points is good enough to get in. Plus there is a good chance at this point .60-.70 under will qualify if over 128 cars does happen. Looks like there will be a savings on tear down gaskets.
Seeing 116 stockers were at the Indy divisional. Fair guess 100 of those were from Division 3. You would think the quota would easily fill.
I'm pretty sure there will be a few more Division 7 cars enter the show as well.

Looks like Canadians will continue to be locked out unfortunately but think Paul is pretty close with his assessment. They’ll be few that don’t qualify but they can always go to the back of staging and hope for the best. The recent trend of all the Super Stockers getting in will likely continue with some of the Hemi Challenge folks skipping the eliminator. Love the Hemi Challenge, glad they’re including it again. I’m out again due to an engine issue, drats.
