That e-bay item is for an LS1. It won't work on an LT1. Do a search for "Happy Hooker." In addition to a possible link to some good-time girls, you'll eventually find a reference to a device that bolts to the fuel rail bosses on top of the LT1 manifold. I've never used one of those myself but I've been told that they work very well.
Good luck |

I used a home made setup. A square piece of stock about 1" by 1" and wider than the engine, crosswise. 4 chains attached to the ends and I bolted the chains to the 4 corner exhaust header holes. I use this same setup on any engine with a real tall t-ram style intake. I attached it as tight to my engine hoist as I could get it and also added an extension to my hoist. Had to add weight to the back of the hoist to act as a counterweight. The holes in the intake for the fuel rails are very small.....The plate would be easier but I used what I had and it worked fine. I removed all the stuff on the front of the engine.....water pump - housing, dist. cap and balancer.
