Just learned that a dear friend Ed Stokes has recently passed. I have known Ed and his son Mike for 30 years. Always smiling and was a true gentleman. He will be missed. Condolences to his family and Mike. Mike dedicated the recent 2022 Sportsnational in their beautifully prepared Cavalier to his Pop and was runner up.R.I.P. my friend. Bobby and Nancy Rashid.

Very sad news of Ed Stokes, great guy as is son Mike. I always loved his Skyline Texaco Corvette.
Condolence to Mike and family. Eddie will be missed in the racing community. Ernie Neal racing family |

Ed Stokes was a true gentleman and a true sportsman drag racer, never met a finer man, proud to call him a friend. And yeah, the old Skyline Texaco Corvette Modified car is the stuff of legend. The sport has lost another great one.
