I keep seeing more and more A/SA cars of all brands? How many combos fit in A\SA.

A lot of the old built for Super Stock only by the factory. The street cars are at a slight disadvantage due to magic parts found everywhere but in the NHRA tech bulletins of the day.

The real weight of rod and piston being way heaver than the NHRA approved stuff for some. The example I found was in the Mopar camp. Take the real rod and piston with all correct factory part and forging numbers weigh them. The approved stuff is 4.5 pounds lighter for eight rods and pistons. That seems fair not having to accelerate the extra 4.5 pounds three times. If my math is correct the NHRA weight of rod and piston is light
256.5 grams or about 9/16 of a pound.

I don't know how many combo's fit the class, but according to Nitro Joe stats 86 different drivers competed in A/SA in 2022. Apparently its now the most popular class in stock eliminator.

I’d vote for that^^^^^^^^^^^

Most of the cars have .500+ lift and solid lifters.
