Default Administrator - can we stop the PC **** inserts?

Good grief! When the word "competitive" now has a tripple *** in it because there's a T followed by an I followed by a T, isn'nt that kinda crazy?

Yeah, and I tried to edit that twice and it wouldn't go away, so I figured that the first amendment had finally crumbled to dust. Unfortunately, I wasn't suprised.

It has been corrected, relax it was a programing error

Man you guys are quick to criticize and make judgments, I guess its just human nature. It looks like we can not make anyone happy, now I know how NHRA feels.

Cool Re: Administrator - can we stop the PC **** inserts?

I remember a thread earlier this year when I went to give kudo's to a NW superstock team from years gone by and I was censored for simply trying to spell a man's name. I don't know if it will work here now, but how many remember the Hancock and Lane cars from the 70s and 80s? Really, some times the PC police get a little too far the other way. The world I grew up in deffinately no longer exists, and maybe thats a good thing, buy not in all cases. Danny Durham,,,, St. Joseph's Hospital class of 53'

Administrator, I guess you just can't take it personally. You do a great job on a great site. What people should try to remember is that without this and other sites like it they would be forced to gripe to themselves or maybe kick their dogs (sorry PETA). Heck, I dreamed pretty much all my life of running an NHRA stocker or Super Stocker. When I ran my first Divisional race in August of 2003 at Englishtown, I remember pulling out of the lanes onto the track so vividly I can still picture it today. I was only running a K/SA 79 Aspen at the time going maybe .20 under, but I sat in the car looked around, took in all the sights, took a deep breath, and knew I was finally there. I won first round against Schroeder who redlit, and of course Billy Nees cleaned my clock on the tree 2nd round, but I didn't care. As Dick Todd put it, I qualified and went 2 rounds in my first race, he told me " You can't ask for more than that". Maybe this sounds corny, but I am being totally honest. I am no longer just a kid in the stands. Sure the P.C. police lurk everywhere, lets face it, that's what our society has evolved into. We have to remember that beyond all the griping, arguing, and misunderstandings, that we are a part of a very prestigious community. God, I remember sitting in the stands with Chris Vignona, God rest her soul, and the Vignona's dog Axel, watching the qualifying on many a Saturday at the Englishtown national event hoping someday to be able to do this. Again, administrator, keep up the good work if thats what it takes to keep this site going and Happy New Year to you and everyone!!
