What classes would a 2002 Camaro LS1 fit in Super Stock? Min weights? Shipping weight is 3291. Also would you need a cage in the car, only if you go 9.99 or quicker? Could not find the guide link. Tom

Just trying to figure what its natural class would be. I see that most run in SS/JA so can it run K or is it a natural I car? SS/HA is a half pound class where I J K are 1 pound classes. SS/IA would be 3220 min J would be 3525, 3355 without driver . Shipping weight is 3291. I am I thinking right? Tom

It also depends on what trim package you have. Mainly SS hood or non SS hood.

This car was built as b4c police package, never was put into service. One of 250 that came with a manual trans and only 12 came with silver paint. We have the title and build sheet. It has 6000 miles of street use before making it a stocker. Basically was 6 cly model that had a V 8 stuffed in it. Don't know if that changes anything. That's what I was looking for, thanks. Tom

More than a V6 base model, they are a lot of the heavier duty option parts that come from a combination of both the regular Z28 and the racing handling package of the special 1LE.
Here are (as a example) some of those options from one 2002 model for sale on "GovDeals" https://www.govdeals.com/?fa=Main.It...310&acctID=539 |

Tom,
IMHO since the special options package is not listed in the NHRA guide you would be able to pick the listed class for a 2002 with stick shift and make your car match the numbers required by NHRA. I'm going to make a guess that since it was a limited production package NHRA or Chevrolet will never put that option package in the guide. That is a good question for some of the higher up's in NHRA Tech. That info Charlie posted looks like some good performance options. Nice find!

I have a question regarding that post and the 2002 Camaro Z28. Was it possible to order one without T-tops ? My memory miss some data sometime...
