I'm sure this has probably been discussed a million times. I'm not interested in a Lithium battery. A 12v AGM battery, like for a stocker. Who makes a good, light battery that doesn't cost an arm and a leg ? While we're at it, who makes a good, battery charger that is compatible ? I kinda like the Schumacher SC1446 charger. I appreciate the help.

We've had good luck with the Odyssey PC925...it's not super lightweight, but we've run 2 for 6 or 7 years now with no issues.

A battery for a Honda Fit weighs about 20 pounds. Top post. Walmart has 3 yr free replacement.

I've had good luck with Braille AGM batteries. The car has one up front and one in the trunk, so I get away with the 11 Lb size...not sure I would trust just one (360 cca) but they also have a 17 Lb with 475 cca. Pricing is decent, too. The 11 Lb is $205 at Summit.
I'm on my third set, just replacing them every 4 years to be safe. |
