C5's have a deeper bellhousing due to the deeper lock up converter they used, but have a improved oiling system that is a plus.The valve body is unique and is usually traded out for a C-4 valve body. Front band adjuster is a fine thread that is a 2:1 ratio to a stock C-4 course thread so you have to double your band clearance turns to 3 turns instead of the usual 1 1/2 turns. They are good cores to use if you swap the bellhousing for a C-4.

Not to take this thread off topic... Question,

What years and models was the C5 trans used ? Also, any visual markings or way to indentify them once removed from the vehicle? I would like to have a couple of good cores under the bench just in case.....
