Default Re: Inline Throttle Stop

I was being a little sarcastic in my Maxx Speed comment as the OP and second poster made it sound as if no one ran these anymore, when I think the last 3 or 4 champions on the S/G and S/C side are running a Maxx Speed (inline) stop.

Last year was the first year I ran 8.90 stuff after 30 years of bracket racing and I did it with a Biondo SLE/inline stop combo. In 4 races I made it to the quarters 3 times. Only thing I noticed b/w my inline and my buddies that ran under carb stops was the fact that I had to make bigger swings on timers for weather conditions than they did, but once that learning curve was over, the overall consistency was pretty negligible. That being said I have heard of S/ST and S/G guys struggling a bit with them maybe b/c of the reasons Tom mentioned.

I enjoyed it enough that I purchased a billet Maxx Speed this winter so hopefully that investment will pay some dividends this year and get me past the quarter-final round.
