A TPM system would be great but I have not found one that is reliable with a 35ft Toter and 28ft trailer.

I sell them and guarantee that it'll work reliably. I have a 37 ft motorhome and 26' trailer and have no problems.

I've got the Eez RV TPMS and it works great with 39' RV, Trailer Toad and 30' trailer. Monitor sits next to the driver on the RV dash. They do make a signal booster that can be mounted at rear of RV but I haven't hooked it up in the 4 years we've had the system. The TPMS is easily the best money spent in the whole racing operation.

Been a few years, but the 15" Goodyear trailer tires than came on my 24' ATC kept coming apart. Then, I was told trailer tires are Speed Rated at 65 MPH?? Really?
I put 16" wheels on it, with Michlean 10 ply LT tires. 110 MPH Speed Rating. 65psi. Does not wallow around like it did in bad cross winds, or meeting 18 wheelers on a 2 lane highway. Tows smoother, don't smell hot rubber now. I use Michlean on almost everything anymore. No Goodyears. Just my experience.

I've used the EEZRV Products unit for about 4 years now. Works great. I also installed the signal booster. You can watch the tire pressures and temps while driving. It really has taken alot of anxiety out of the drive. No more looking back at the trailer every time there is a bump in the road. Dan

Time to upgrade to something like that. Though the trailer does well with 6 ply, are 8 ply any safer? Dan |

Looks like it's worth looking into. If you don't realize one tire is going down, it's overloading and damaging the remaining tire(s) setting you up for another failure.
I guess if it saves 2-3 tires, it pays for itself!

My TPMS has saved me from a blowout on the highway at least three times. The other nice feature is that when you are loading everything up, you can check the tire pressures on both vehicles just by looking, and not having to physically check each tire. You set the high/low pressures on the unit and it will start beeping when it hits that setting. I went into a truck stop and parked to eat, 30 minutes later when I was getting back in my truck, i got a warning about a trailer tire being low. Valve stem had cracked. Saved me from a blowout on the side of the road.

Dan . For the difference in price go to a E or 10 ply tire. The cost difference shouldn't be that much.
