You see a similar tactic to the Biondos, Bogacki, Lamb, Richardsons, they one thing that they all do is change up their game. You have no possible clue what they could be doing. Being comfortable with holding 8, then next round putting it right on the .90 is the biggest "cheat code" in my opinion. Giving yourself options.

Pay attention to EVERYTHING!
I go through the Live Timing and build a database of Super Street and Super Comp runs for any race in my division or surrounding divisions. Once I am on the ladder, pull up my opponent and try to figure out how they set up. What is their 60' compared to mine? Can I use that to tell who got the tree? Also, the year I won the division I had the advantage on the tree every double-green round except one single round in my counted events. I haven't been able to replicate it since so I can't tell you how it is done, but it is helpful!

![]() I didn't keep up with the run logging this past year, and it probably isn't a coincidence that I didn't have as strong a season. It was decent. I spend all day working in Excel, so I can make it look like work while I do it. A lot of manual fixing and deleting stuff though. I wish NHRA would allow some way to access the data directly, but I wouldn't hold my breath! I don't even know that having that exact information is the most helpful thing, but it represents an attitude of being as prepared as humanly possible, and I let that attitude slide.

Just plug the info into the computer, put the numbers in the box and go along for the ride. Easy.
At least, that's what the guys who don't do it tell me. |
