My time in the Corps I not only safe guarded classified material at two American Embassies. I have held a TS clearance with CNWDI access, had a CMS account that held two man control SAS/PAL. I have authenticated EAMs on a monthly basis. As Security Manager/ Special Weapons Officer, I have trained personnel and received two NWAI and two NTPI inspections with no discrepancies noted. When I see what happened of late makes me wonder what damage to national security has taken place. Did you ever see classified material store in anything less that a Class 6 safe?

Personally i have never seen or handled any top secret documents. My dad was a nuclear physicist and worked his whole career on the nuclear weapons program for the government. He had top secret clearance for all of the nuclear weapons sites around the country and maybe some we didnt know of. When I was young I knew where my dad worked but we had no idea what he did at the plant near where we lived. They were forbidden to tell anyone what was done at the plant. I was in my 20s when he was finally able to tell us what he had been working on all those years and we were able to tour the plant and see where he worked. He continued to work there until the DOE turned the plant over to Martin Marrietta. He retired at that point from General Electric that ran the plant for the DOE. Then was hired by Martin Marrietta and worked for them in a similar capacity for several more years then full retirement after that.

All that being said my dad was middle of the road politically. He would vote for who he thought was the best leader at the time. Sometimes he would vote for a republican but mosty leaned toward the democrats. I can tell you if he was alive today he would be appalled at what the goverment has turned into. All of this woke crap and LBGTQ would have really angered him. He was very opinionated and I really wish i could gear what he would have to say about the direction of the country. I can tell you he would not be a supporter of either Trump or Biden.
My dad was a veteran of the Korean war. During his time in the army he was stationed in Germany duing the war.
He passed away 10 years ago from complications due to a severe stroke. That day we lost a great father.
