Looking to replace old style hipster brake in 3400 lb super stocker. Note, it's a pg. Any recommendations?

Ed, I think the basic, GM cast iron valve body style is a proven design and built the same by everyone. The one difference between all being the solenoid.
In my experience, buy a name brand part from one of the top tier companies and it will be fine. |

Might an opportunity to replace the PG with a 3 SPD transmission, and just sell the PG !

TSR in New Hampshire is a good company to deal with. Carl Munroe was the owner, he's passed and family runs the business. He is the one that wrote the book on PG's literally. If you ever see a book for sale on building performance PG's it was written by Carl.

Thanks for the input guys. Unfortunately, a 3-speed is not in the cards at the moment. Will have to use the pg for a while longer.

The change over to a 3 SPD can be pricey , so I can understand putting it off . As far as a PG , I have had excellent results with a ATI transbrake VB the one with an external solenoid . Works great , and very consistent .
