Also something many forget about the ballast rule is that all a racer has to do is add street equipment normally taken off the car for racing purposes such as windshield wipers and washers, heaters and air conditioning, front sway bar, spare tire, wiring harneses, back seats and so forth that is extra weight but not considered ballast.

Yeah, because GM racers are the only ones to have ever been guilty of acid porting, bogus pistons, moving valve seats in heads, or anything of the sort. Ford and Mopar racers are surely above such atrocities. Did you even read that before you posted it?
