Alan the 270/250 uses the gt40p heads, the 285/265/255 uses the gt40 heads. The gt valve train refers to valve size as being the gt40 valves. As you can see that our 95 Mustang that we sold to Justice's is a top qualifier with 270/250 engine. It has stock crank, eagle rods, ross NHRA-IHRA stocker pistons, 750 DP holley, Victor Jr. intake, and gt40p heads with a good valve job. The short block for both engines are the same except for the cam lift. As my son Brandon said we have tried both and the 250 is a better combo.
