Default Ingersoll Rand compressor

I have a 80gal Ingersoll Rand air compressor in my shop. The compressor motor is wired to 220 on the wall with a breaker. Then it runs out to a power pole that also feeds my well. Everytime you turn on the compressor it trips the breaker at the power pole not the one in the garage. I bought a new breaker but that didn't fix it. I'm a terrible electrician lol any ideas? Thanks. Ed
