This is not a comment on the car in question since I have no direct knowledge of the car. This is a comment on the thought that a car is legal if it gets to race no matter what is illegal on the car. I was an NHRA tech man off and on for over 30 years, and I feel that just because a tech official misses something does not set a precedent and negate the rule and make it legal. The car is still illegal, it just got to race. Again this post is not about the Nova.
Sad commentary on society that people feel that if they get away with something that no wrong has been committed. The wrong has still been committed, just ask the victim, if he or she is still alive.

I would say we will find out if this car is legal or not the next time they take it out. After all the publicity they have received I'm sure NHRA or IHRA's tech will be over it with a fine tooth comb. I don't think Ken would have built a car that doesn't pass tech. I think it is one the nicest Stockers I have seen. Then finally this thread will be put to rest. Good luck to Ken and Adam. Mike

It's amazing to me that someone who's post shows a guy "beating a dead horse", a squirrel (proper spelling) drinking, a guy mooning all of us, and a statement saying "Man turn around, she was nekkid", would have the gall to call anyone a squirrel (or if you're Kenny, a squirell). Hmmm! 415 posts. I wonder if any of them were of any substance?

Kenny, you wanted this thread to end. Well maybe if you hadn't posted YOUR STUPID POST, it would have.

Jerry, I put that up, to make a little more fun at this. The reason I say that, is simply that, how many posters on this subject have actually put their eyes on this car. Maybe 3 ? I'm sure that several more gave it a glance at one of the 2 races they ran.
Speculation is driving this, and speculation is what has been a pain to all of us, from gas last yr to credit problems many are facing today. Speculation, in this form is not needed, simply put.
If they even decide to get that beautiful car out again after all this, I hope it passes with every flying color it absolutely can.

Jerry, you are a very accomplished racer. I hold no claims to any kind of fame, whatsoever. My racing, as a whole, pales in comparison to yours and so many more, so I dont try to blow a horn I dont know how to play, to begin with. I hope we could actually meet thru this site and shake hands someday.

I havent been on here , to look at more this subject, since early in the week, and I was somewhat suprised it was still on. I began to laugh at how this is akin to an old witch hunt, and I saw a narrow bit of humor in the direction of it. This subject, in general,is the reasons I have been coming back to this site less and less. Someone said she was a witch....

Obviously, you didnt see that. Maybe some do, maybe some don't.

A few of my posts have had some substance, but I just tend to look at all of this as enjoyment, not taken all that seriously. It probably wont ever be my base income, so I do it for enjoyment, and fun.

I hope everyone has a great day, and enjoy whatever you can.
See ya

Kenny,

Very thoughtful, and thank you.

I do take this thread seriously, and my comments are not about the Keir car either; I haven't seen it. Rather, they are about the prevailing attitude that cheating is OK if you don't get caught, or if your favorite tech guy lets you through it's good forever anywhere. Stewart Way pointed those thoughts out very eloquently. There are still victims. Most racers on here wouldn't think of going up and robbing someone, but if they just squeak out a heads-up win over someone who hasn't cheated, its just as if they robbed them. I don't understand where the satisfaction comes from in that case. The problem is that it has become the prevelant thinking.

Someone said 99% of all Stockers are illegal. Shamefully, that point probably can't be argued. Unfortunately, if true, there are about 10 legal ones in the country.

You're right. I was one of those that didn't take it right. Maybe I'm too serious about this.

Have a good season.

Jerry
