It should be. A good place to save waste would be to ban junk mail, all repetitious governmental forms, all forms of telemarketing, and all kinds of printed directives from the democrats.Sounds like a quality of life issue, here,as well.

I guess NHRA is not interested in new members coming alone either. My local speed shop use to display rulebooks on the counter to sell them. Now a guy or gal would have to jump into a membership just to figure out if he/she is crazy enough to do it or not.

Of course the author could go into the html and make changes to the testament then your recollection of what it said may get foggy unless you had that hard copy.

It's a terrible thing for the governing body not have rules in black and white for everyone.

I applaud NHRA for the online advancements over the years, however I don't think this needs to happen. They should add it online but leave the hard copy.

I remember yrs. ago when Nat'l Dragster posted rules amendments and acceptable replacement parts in their mag. Now one has to have a computer. Online registering for Nat/l events as well. Now we lose the rulebook? This makes me ponder more questions. Is NHRA trying to do away with sportsman racing? Am I making a big mistake in building one car from scratch and attempting to race another one that has been sitting for yrs.? Is this a foolish plan, spending all the money on these projects for a lost cause? Although I am licensed now, 4B, and a current member, the cost to renew my subscription will cost much more down the road and couple this with the costs of the physical exams required, I really wonder if it's worth it all just for the fact that I really enjoy stock and superstock. It's one thing to raise fees, but to also give one less at the same time sucks! Say what you will, and I know most think "we" contribute big bucks to NHRA, but I wonder, personally, if "we" actually make any money for them. Apart from the occasional sportsman racer going "pro" what is there for them to gain? I am self employed, my own company, and I never treat my paying customer this way. I must believe their true object is to end up with only the wealthiest players that can pay to play. I've often heard the old " how much money do you have to spend" when inquiring about these eliminators......Is this what NHRA will be asking soon? I just gotta believe the incentive isn't there for them. Sorry if I hijacked the thread. I just hate this type of "change".

C'mon guys, this is just the NHRA trying to save money, got nothing to do with the Gov., you can still order the book or just go to a NHRA meet and buy one there....like I did.

I remember when the NHRA's car spec's....weight,hp, etc was in book form and cost about $300.00.
