Why should the tensioner have to be OEM?

the OEM tensioner is spring loaded. Metco and others make tensioners that are positive acting, and act on a different place on the belt thus increasing boost by eliminating any slippage. The tensioner should at minimum have to be of OEM type (spring loaded) and should be in the stock location

Oh puulease! Then I'll run a belt soaked in belt dressing that has zero slip.
Man the hating is so obvious! I wish obama motors and fiat would hurry up and field their pony cars........ |

there is no "hating", i just know what the supercharged mod motors are capable of. I do applaud NHRA for specifying the pulleys finally.

Chad,
The pulley spec has always been there, just not published. However, I do not know if they were checking them. Bill |

Hate.....thats another story but its tough enough dealing with fuel injected cars in the same class but SUPERCHARGED should be in a class by its self just like AFX was. NHRA has a can of worms on their hands and no one in those classes have a chance against them least they break or red light.

Back at the beginning of the year I asked an NHRA divisional tech guy if they had a spec for it, and i was told that Glendora may, but they did not have it in the field. Obviously i have know way of verifying this.
