Default Re: Drag Pak motors

I wish Drooze, his father and their sponsors the best. It sure has been one heck of a ride for them so far.

These new Hemi's are cabable of cranking out some serious power. You just gotta know what it takes to keep them happy at rpm. We're in our 5th year of our 5.7/6.1 engine program and are still finding a few weak links.

Also as far as taking an 'as is' DP motor and running it? You'll probably be in the same boat as Drooze unless you keep the rpm's well below 6000, even then, that might be pushing it. I have more faith in spinning a factory built engine higher than 7000 which is about the rpm where the factory rods bolts start to stretch. I'm not here to knock Stanton's engine work, just Chrysler for supplying Stanton with a pile of missmatched parts like I found in our DP motor and personally seen on a couple others.
