what combo is better ?

Doug -

The wagon I found had a mixture of old and new engine parts, mostly later model 350 block and heads. The one thing it DID have was the correct intake, although the carb was a '67 Q-jet, not the one I needed. So now the plan is to get the car up and running (somehow!) with the mule motor, and build a 327(or 283, or both) for later. Not exactly how I wanted to start, but at least I'll be out there and not in the garage!
