Some on this forum may find Dan a little.....well...different....but I met him a few years ago at his shop and find him to be a good and down to earth person. Remember he was the one who led the fight againt the class cars being forced to run mufflers. He has been thru some phyisical and personal problems in the last few years that would have stopped a lot of us dead in thier tracks. Im amazed that he has built a new 64 Hemi ride (IHRA AA/SA stocker) against all odds such as learning how to drive with one leg and is about to try racing again. Its sad that he had to sell the red 63 Dodge to pay off his mountian of medical bills but from what I have heard the new ride is just awsome. I wish him well and hope to see him at a race soon. Just goes to show you that if you want to race bad enough you can find a way to do it.
