Billy, in this instance, I'm sure it is not. I have had both engines apart after the break in period and a couple of races for inspection. I cleaned out the residue each time. After running both engines again, I found the same thing. At first I thought it may be some of the Comp lifter additive, but it does this without it, too. The bearings do look perfect in both engines. I wonder how early this is occuring and how much protection the oil still has after this seperates and lands in the pan.....
