Yes, the fuel cars are likely the problem, but people come to see them. not us. It's a business. Maybe business ownners see it differently.

Yea, but how many times in the last 10 years have people said: "$35.00 more won't keep me from going" -or- "price of everything is going up, so I'll just pay it" -or- "If you can't afford another $50.00 after spending thousands on racing, you shouldn't be doing it" -or....anything else along those lines related to memberships, fees, etc.???

Add it all up and it's a heck of a lot of money. Rationalizing why one should just roll over and pay it is not "rational". If one has enough disposal income, fine...more power to ya'. But most people don't. Unfortunately, there are also some that don't and won't admit it to themselves.
