Your other choice would be to leave the car as is and race one of the
Summit Series in your area if NHRA tracks are more plentaful for you. In other words a bracket race, where you can leave the car as is and still have fun racing it, but not take it totally off the street. In any case you may have to make some changes to run either IHRA or NHRA, items like a blow proof bellhousing, add a driveshaft loop just to name two items.
