Now if the NHRA would open up the Stock Car Classification Guide to ANY vehicle made available to the public by any manufacturer during any model year 1955 and up, instead of the choices we have now, things could get REALLY interesting!

Bill, remember our conversation the other day?Seems like your position on this subject
is giving some people a severe case of hemorrhoids.
It's good to be one of the lower echelon of the Stock eliminator world.Except for the
occasional overlooked lower classed combo we have no worry about the big buck
guys building a "slow stocker".
Those people in a tizzy about Bob's Cadillac should be aware that Bob only races a few times a year, mainly Belle Rose and maybe Indy and an occasional divisional.Where the
new NHRA enhanced cars are at every race on the schedule.
And as far as not worrying about a slower car winning anything I think Jody Lang might have something to say about that.
For the 10,000th time most of us have no problem with the people who have these
enhanced cars. The problem is the apparent collusion between NHRA and the manufacturers of these combinations.Put them in their own classes and goodbye problem. We can move on to bigger problems.
BTW Davidhuff what class do you run?

I do not have a stocker at this time but I am thinking of getting back in the game. The last stocker I had was a F/SA built by Linda & Woodro Josey.

OK thanks for the honest reply. Now if you come back and build another F/SA car,say a
Chevelle just for arguement sake, and you go to a race and there's 4 or 5 DP or new
Mustangs.Let's say it's a divisional,no class runoffs. You qualify and your first rd opponent is a DP or Mustang that can have a .400 (sort of my light at MG last year:>)) and still have you covered.Think there's something out of kilter there?

For anyone who has doubts about that Caddy is not just a well thought out combination but true race car down to the last nut and bolt and multiple fuel injection maps he uses. I pitted next to Bob this weekend and trust me Bob was under the hood after each and every run tweaking checking and ringing out every last thousandth from the old girl, just kind of hard to judge those 140 MPH closing speeds.

I’m also saddened to report Bob let me know this was his last race and he’s retiring. What a loss to me personally but to all sportsman racing as he’s not only a class guy and gentlemen but an innovator like few others we have seen in the sport.

I hope this is not true. I can't help but remember the fun we have had at the Cajun's in the past with both the Mustang and the Caddy. Jim

I don't think anyone doubts the caddys performance but like the new cars the factor is bogus. They all need to be fixed regardless of make and model.
