Jeff,
This is straying somewhat from thread, but your car is still at that point after 4 years?
I'm very patient but my patience would have ran out about 3 years ago because it sounds like it has'nt been touched.
I think making your car back to stocker sounds like good ideal.

I totally agree....and could not have said it better.

Bogus cars......Rediculousl HP ratings....Nonsense....

In the past 5 years I have had 5 heads up runs not including class and are 4 up and 1 down. Interesting that one of the heads that I won I would up winning the race and the other I lost a heads up in the final by .003 Bogus schmogus I love the anticpation of heads up during eliminations. Bring your A game or stay home. Ya win some, ya lose some.

Talking Re: heads- up runs

Since I have started running the Volare (two years) I have had 9 heads up races, three at one race alone! So far I have always run it in H/SA, that could change. Haven't been beaten in a heads up yet! Jim

Mr Demarzo your racing accomplishments are many and most would be tickled pink to have your record. If im not mistaken your running a smallblock as of lately which is keeping you away from a large percentage of the crate motor cars or paper cars. Not to sound like a smart ***, i dont think your L78 in A or B stock stands much of a chance ,even with your or anyone elses A game against a AAA car at their A game , and in B stock to boot

I have had my share of heads up runs.. The first 2 years was a welcome to stock eliminator, now go get some power!!! Since than I have been on the good side of all but 1... Vic guilimino,,, he didn't even know he had a heads up pulls 20 lbs out in the lanes and thru a small bag of ice on and sent me home.. Atlanta national I had 3 heads up runs in 6 rounds and was fortunate to come home with the Wally. I had 7 heads up runs in 2008 alone. And last year in a new car felt like I had a heads up at every race I went to. Sorry Joe!..

I wanted to learn something here was the point of the question.
Observations
1) NHRA has a lot more heads up than IHRA
2) Div 1 and div 3 have a lot more than any other according to the racers.
3) There have been a few times when a racer has had multiple heads up in the same race.
4) I doubt 442 has had 50 in 10 years unless you are counting class Your post about Tueton winning Indy is dead on though. I remember going to Norwalk one year Beard had me covered 3 tenths or so. I remembered every rd I won I knew I could'nt when as long as he was still in. I get beat at5 and he made the finals.
5) I would think that most of you have only had a small percentage in actual racing conditions.
6) It really does'nt matter if so and so would have won that round you would have gotten another.

I don't really know where I'm going with this. I mean the possibility is always there so be ready. I do think that is the biggest difference between bracket racing and class racing.
Just remember everytime you put a dial-in on your window you are doing the same thing that JOE BRACKET RACER is doing at the home track on Saturday night.
Chip
Then start your first post with what you mean to say. Since you are always thumping your chest that class racing is NOTHING more than a bracket race, it would seem fit you are trying to rationalize heads-up runs out of the class. To me, you're looking for ammo.
Now if I'm wrong, and you really DO want to keep the class alive as intended, my apologies. But my analysis is based on your many posts that seem to try to dumb down the class. Smart ***** or Dumb *****, that's the way I see it.

Started to write a response but I don't want to hijack the thread. Send me a PM if interested.
