I was at the auction and looked at the car. It did have the correct VIN (BO29xxxxxx) on it but was a little suspect. Lots of replacement parts on it like the hood. OEM hood scoop only had 2 support rods. Lots of money being spent there-quite a show this year

This car did hold the SS/BA NHRA National Record for a short period at the end of 1968.

Looks pretty good. These cars usually lost an oem part or two for a lighter replacement. Hood scoop stays on the car better with 4 supports rather than two since they bulge at speed and try to rip the hood off the car. I think Jack Werst (correct me if I'm wrong) in an old interview talked about the hood flying off on occasion and that the car was hard on windshields-cracked when the car twisted!
