i looked at the pictures on e-bay. there are 12 pieces there. what are the copper shells for? they look like inserts for the rear main. right or wrong?

My experience issome of them are fully grooved depending on if you get "newer stock or older stock"---they only come in 3 sizes so if ya cut the crank more than .010 ya cant use em ----and yes the rear main uses a spacer---very expensive about $170-200 depending on who ya get em from----FED387

I just got my clevite mains---is there any instruction on the rear main spacer--like loctite or? i would like your expertise please--thanks--spacers make me nervous

Never use Loctite on a bearing, it inhibits heat transfer, and slightly alters the fit.
