Hi Kevin , Just a question. Is the car a original GTX and have figured out a budget on the car. As you know Hemis are not cheap and SS hemis are expensive. If you are not hell bent on running SS and would consider running a stocker, there is a fine example of what you might be looking for on Racing Junk as we speak and it is turnkey. That car could be had at the price of a turnkey SS hemi engine. Might be worth a peak !

The reason the 4 link bars are in the wheel wells in a super stocker is the floor has to be stock between the frame rails

This is the best way to build a SS car and meet the stock floor requirement. B body cars have a very low floor where the four link bars need to be.

I spoke to Pat Cvengros, NHRA S/SS committee chairman as I was getting ready to start cutting on my car to go full SS chassis. I've seen SS chassis with bars inside the tubs but I had been told it was not allowed by a few people. So I checked and that's what he told me. Seems irrelevant to me where the bars go, it just seems to make packaging easier with the bars inside.
