My opinion, the air will never be "too good", but the track temperature becomes the issue when too cold.

What Frank said. If you had a track that had an in ground heater you could run on a nice clear 20* day with 30.50+ baro! As long as you have an adequate amount of fuel it's going to keep going faster. However, as frank said usually track temp becomes the issue.
